Beccles Artist Maggie Walters
Local Beccles artist Margaret Walters (known as Maggi) can be found most days creating works of art at her studio at the Henstead Arts Centre Suffolk.
She has been painting for most of her life and has been undertaking commissions and pet portraits for a number of years now.
Maggi gained a scholarship at the age of 11 to attend an Art College and has since worked in various parts of the world including The Canary Islands, Portugal and Singapore before settling in the market town of Beccles on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk.
Beccles artist Maggi paints dogs, cats, horses in fact she can create a pastel painting of any type of animal you may wish her to paint.
Maggi has undertaken commissions in pet portraits in Lowestoft, Beccles, Great Yarmouth, Harleston, Norwich and most of Suffolk, Norfolk and East Anglia.
Throughout her adult life Maggi has painted in the usual mediums of oils, acrylics and water colours,
but a few years ago Maggi discovered pastels and has found that pastel is the art medium that she enjoys the most.
All artwork shown on this site has been produced in pastel on suedette.
